NaijaNetGist - President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has made it clear — the era of insecurity and fear in Nigeria is coming to an end.
Speaking during his administration’s second anniversary, the President reaffirmed his commitment to national security, saying no form of economic growth can happen without the safety of citizens and stability in the country.
“If lives and properties aren’t protected, our economy can’t function properly,” he stated.
Tinubu praised the courage and efforts of the military and security agencies for reclaiming areas previously dominated by bandits and insurgents. He noted that in parts of the northwest, peace has returned, farmers are back on their land, and travel along previously unsafe roads is now much safer.
“Our troops have made it possible for Nigerians to travel again without fear,” he said, adding that many kidnapped victims have also been rescued.
He revealed that he had directed security chiefs to take even stronger action and work more closely together to end all criminal activity. “Every Nigerian deserves to live without fear,” he declared.
Tinubu also paid tribute to the men and women in uniform, applauding their bravery and sacrifices. “They put their lives on the line daily so we can live in peace,” he said.
The President concluded by assuring the public that the government remains alert and responsive to any emerging security threats.
