A disturbing post attributed to Alilat A. Ademola, a vocal supporter of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has triggered nationwide condemnation after he allegedly threatened ethnic violence should Tinubu lose the 2027 presidential election.
The controversial comment, originally shared on X (formerly Twitter), read:
“If Tinubu Loose 2027, we will kpai all Hausas and Igbos in Lagos. Just carry this on your mind.”
Though the post was swiftly deleted, screenshots have continued to circulate widely across social media platforms, igniting fury and calls for immediate accountability.
The statement, widely interpreted as a call for ethnic cleansing, has been described by many Nigerians as reckless, inciting, and dangerously provocative, particularly against the backdrop of heightened insecurity and ethnic tensions in the country.
Reacting to the threat, X user @PivotOladimeji wrote:
“@AlilatAdemola, either you’re brain dead or just too foolish to understand that you just put yourself in a whole lot of trouble with this threat of yours. You’ve got no idea… But you’d learn bitterly.”
Another user, @SArokwe, stressed the need to treat the threat seriously:
